I am no longer actively pursuing the Presidency

And with those words Howard Dean fades away.

He promises to keep working in the primary season for change.

And then he really sounded as if he was starting a third party:

He wants his supporters to keep sending progressive delegates to the convention.

"Dean for America" will continue as a different type of grass roots organization.

This statement is wierd.
"We are leaving one track, but we are going on a different track that will take back America again"

But then he said that he would not run as a third party candidate, and he would ask his supoorters not to support third party candidates.

He did not name any particular candidate, but he did say that they must beat George Bush "no matter what it takes."

Howard Dean is no longer running for President but he is running as the concious of the Democratic party. I think he will meet with the exact same amount of success.
