The White House Backs off 2.6 million new jobs.

CNN reports that the White House won't back job forecast: "The White House on Wednesday declined to publicly endorse its forecast predicting the average level of new jobs this year would rise by 2.6 million, prompting criticism from Democrats."

That number never seemed to make much sense, anyway. I am still not entirely clear on the unemployment vs. household jobs index, and why one is meaningless while the other is the industry standard.

By the way if you are retraining for a job, there seems to be a big need in the San Franciso area for wedding coordinators
