Indigenous Boy makes good...: "David Tidmarsh, 14, from South Bend, Ind., correctly spelled autochthonous to become the champion of the 2004 National Spelling Bee.

He takes home $17,000 in cash and other prizes.

He placed 16th in the competition last year.
Tidmarsh defeated 13-year-old Akshay Buddiga -- who rallied after becoming lightheaded and collapsing on stage."

The Spelling Bee should be prime time television I tell ya.
